What was the story behind this??
This temple was built in the year 2010 by a rich businessman named Ramesh and he is also one who is known for building Kempamma Temple, dedicated to the main deity of the village, Goddess Kempamma. According to local villagers, once two dogs mysteriously disappeared from the village. After a few days, the goddess herself appeared in some villagers' dreams and asked them to build a temple for the lost dogs to near her temple for the protection and safety of the village and the villagers.
Other sources say, as villagers couldn't find the dogs, they built a temple and put statues of two lost dogs inside the temple.
Today, these two idols of dogs are worshipped by people. According to villagers that these dogs drive the negative energy away from the village. Every year, a huge festival is held in the village in honour of these dogs.
Now we can say how crazy and unique our cultures are!!!..
That's all for today, I hope you enjoy the blog. Thank you very much!!!
